## Description

Zscaler is looking for a Jira Administrator to join their Engineering team on a hybrid basis in Bangalore. The successful candidate will build and support the Jira Data Center platform used by engineering, IT, and business organizations.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain custom Jira Data Center apps, plugins, and scripted extensions using Java, Groovy, and the Atlassian SDK

- Integrate Jira with surrounding systems including Confluence, ServiceNow, Slack, CI/CD pipelines, and SSO using REST APIs and webhooks

- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into robust Jira solutions, including custom workflows, schemes, permissions, automation rules, and reporting

- Contribute to the Jira Data Center to Cloud migration through app compatibility assessments, data mapping, migration tooling, dry runs, and post-migration validation

- Support ongoing platform operations, including upgrades, patching, performance tuning, and troubleshooting production issues across the AWS infrastructure

Requirements:

- 1-2 years of experience in Jira Administration

- Foundational understanding of AI/ML technologies

- Working proficiency in Java, solid SQL skills, and comfort with a scripting language such as Groovy, Python, or Bash

- Experience consuming and building REST APIs, along with familiarity with Git-based version control and standard build tooling

- Hands-on exposure to Jira, Confluence, or a comparable enterprise workflow platform
