## Description

WSP USA's Data Center CoE team in Tempe, AZ, is seeking a full-time Mechanical Engineering Intern for Summer 2027. This internship is part of WSP's 12-week Summer Internship Program, starting on May 17th, 2027.

As a Mechanical Engineering Intern, you will support various engineering tasks to develop technical, social, and ethical skills. Your responsibilities will include:

- Supporting engineering tasks to develop technical skills

- Learning basic principles of Mechanical Engineering

- Assisting with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations and analysis

- Supporting preparation of final design plans, special provisions, and cost estimates

- Collecting and maintaining project documentation

- Completing training on assigned tasks

- Exercising responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct

To qualify, you must be actively enrolled in an accredited Mechanical Engineering or related undergraduate program with an anticipated graduation date of August 2027 or later. You must also be 18 or older, demonstrate interest in Mechanical Engineering, and possess competent interpersonal and communication skills.

Preferred qualifications include:

- Enrollment in a Master's or PhD program

- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Load Calculation Software (Trace3D), and Microsoft Office Suite

- Prior relevant internship or leadership experience

The expected salary for this position is $23.03 - $29.96 per hour.
