## Description

You will join the Research Technology and Innovation Team at Hitachi Rail Hong Kong Limited, supporting prototype and software development with a focus on data preparation and machine learning applications.

The team's priority is building prototypes and industrialising them, which involves creating new programs, validating results, documenting findings, revising code for production readiness, developing tests, and implementing Docker containers.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Engage in prototyping, coding, configuration, and testing

- Contribute to system and software documentation

- Define test documents, perform integration, verification, and validation tests

- Deliver software releases

- Conduct software quality control

**Requirements:**

- Degree in Data Analytics, Big Data, Machine Learning, Applied Mathematics, or Applied Statistics

- Proficiency in Python and utilisation of existing packages for data manipulation (Pandas, Numpy), regressions, time series predictions, clustering, optimisation (scikit-learn, Keras)

- Knowledge of database principles, DDL, and SQL

- Experience with Git, Docker (Dockerfile and docker-compose), and Linux commands

- Fluency in English

- Familiarity with data analytics, machine learning, statistical, and mathematical concepts is advantageous

**Commitment:** Candidates must commit to working Monday to Friday for at least 6 months starting from March 2027.
