## Description

We are seeking a Technology Developer to join our team at our Glasgow Campus. The successful candidate will be motivated with a strong degree or expected degree achieved before June 2027.

The Technology Developer will help design, build, test and maintain systems used across Barclays. This is more than writing code; you’ll play a role in solving complex problems for clients and customers. You may work with technologies including Java, C++, C#, Python, SQL, JavaScript/TypeScript, containers, DevOps, cloud, machine learning, scripting and real-time systems.

**Responsibilities**

- Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.

- Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.

- Collaboration with peers, participation in code reviews, and promotion of a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.

- Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.

- Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
