## Description

Grab is Southeast Asia's leading superapp, providing various services such as food delivery, financial management, and ride-hailing.

We are looking for a growth expert who can lead a team and work cross-departmentally to drive successful outcomes as a Merchant Growth Lead.

**Responsibilities:**

- Take full ownership of identifying, refining, and implementing business growth programs, working with growth teams to improve performance, refine operations, and lead regional expansion, while using market insights and data-driven strategies to achieve sustainable and impactful growth.

- Develop and implement tailored strategies for managing the acquisition of non-managed merchant segments in the Johor region.

- Explore and establish new channels to acquire and manage new merchants within the Johor region.

- Oversee the merchant acquisition pipeline and ensure development aligns with the regional strategic goals.

- Lead the sales team, focusing on designing incentive structures and overseeing payout processes.

- Stay informed about the industry situation along with competitor activity as part of feedback and learning.

- Oversee the budget for the region, ensuring allocation and spending achieve required effectiveness and achieving regional targets.

- Organize regular check-ins and reporting for the sales performance to ensure we stay ahead of our target and having a healthy sales run rate.

**Qualifications:**

- Must be locally based in Johor Bahru

- Bachelor's Degree (any)

- Fluent in written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia

- At least 5 years of experience (previous sales team leader experience is necessary)

- Visionary, stay up to date with industry trends, and can respond to market changes quickly
