## Description

We are seeking a Lead Engineer - AI Platform to design, develop, and improve software using various engineering methodologies. This role involves providing business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.

**Responsibilities**

- Develop and deliver high-quality software solutions using industry-aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools.

- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements and devise solution strategies.

- Participate in code reviews and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.

- Stay updated on industry technology trends and contribute to the organisation's technology communities.

- Adhere to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities and ensure secure software solutions.

- Implement effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.

**Assistant Vice President Expectations**

- Advise and influence decision-making, contribute to policy development, and take responsibility for operational effectiveness.

- Lead a team performing complex tasks and set objectives for team members.

- Demonstrate leadership behaviours to create an environment for colleagues to thrive.

**Requirements**

- Cloud-native distributed systems with 3+ years of experience.

- Strong Python or Go/Java skills for production APIs and microservices.

- Experience with AWS at scale, including Kubernetes, EKS, Bedrock, IAM, and RDS/Aurora.

- Knowledge of GenAI/Agentic AI, including LangGraph/LangChain or Google ADK, MCP/A2A, and RAG pipelines.

**Nice to Have**

- Experience with Envoy Proxy or API gateway platforms.

- Knowledge of OPA/Rego policy-as-code.

- Familiarity with AI safety controls, such as guardrails and prompt injection defence.

- Understanding of Zero Trust/identity systems, including EntraID and OAuth2/OIDC.
