## Description

The Boeing Company is seeking highly motivated, organized, and strategic individuals for Customer Engineers (Experienced and Senior) to join our 787 Account Management team in North Charleston, South Carolina.

The Customer Engineering Account Managers are the primary technical interface between customers and Boeing Commercial Airplanes responsible for defining the contractual airplane configuration. You will leverage your customer and market insights to curate experiences and solutions that surpass customer's aspirations and drive a preference for Boeing products.

**Responsibilities:**

- Understand customer requirements and communicate their priorities within the Boeing Company.

- Represent the Boeing Company to the customer and act as the primary technical contact for their configuration definition.

- Frequently interact with Boeing Sales, Marketing, Contracts, and airplane program leadership.

- Lead the configuration development, management, and change processing for all stages of airplane development from pre-proposal to delivery.

- Assist Boeing and the customer in resolving technical issues during airplane delivery, document unresolved customer issues, and facilitate a positive customer delivery experience.

- Interact with domestic and international customers and suppliers.

- Coordinate with diverse technical and business organizations within Boeing.

- Travel both domestically and internationally at approximately 25% of the time, as needed.

- May require working off-hours, weekends, and/or holidays to support airplane delivery milestones.

**Requirements:**

- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.

- Education from an institution accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) is required.

- 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.

- 5 or more years' of experience working for Boeing, airlines, aircraft lessors, and/or heavy maintenance organizations.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

- 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Experience in Aerospace.

- Experience and familiarity with airplane configuration processes and procedures.

- Expertise in resolving cross-functional and cross-program technical issues.

- Familiarity with design, development, and certification of new features.

- Experience applying systems engineering and project management best practices.

- Excellent oral and written communication skills.

- Experienced (Level 3): $112,200 - $151,800

- Senior (Level 4): $138,850 - $185,150
