## Description

Spire Harpenden Hospital is looking for a dedicated and reliable Housekeeper or Cleaner to join our Housekeeping Team on a bank basis.

As a Housekeeper, you'll play a vital role in supporting patient care by ensuring our hospital environment remains clean, comfortable, and welcoming for patients, visitors, and colleagues.

**Responsibilities:**

- Complete daily cleaning schedules to maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the hospital.

- Prepare rooms and areas to the required layout and presentation standards.

- Clean and maintain patient bedrooms, offices, public areas, toilets, and clinical support departments.

- Work closely with clinical and non-clinical teams to support the needs of the hospital.

- Follow all infection prevention, health and safety, and COSHH procedures.

- Ensure cleaning equipment and materials are used safely and appropriately.

- Report maintenance, safety, or housekeeping concerns where required.

- Support the wider housekeeping team to deliver an exceptional environment for patients and visitors.

**Requirements:**

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Good attention to detail.

- Ability to work using initiative and manage tasks effectively.

- Flexible approach to working patterns and shift requirements.

**Working Hours:**

- Flexible Bank Contract (0 hours)

- Ideally available to work up to 2 days per week

- Department operating hours: 8:00am – 10:00pm

- Shifts are typically 7.5 hours and may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends
