## Description

WSP's Engineered Construction team is growing and has opportunities for Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Technicians in Augusta, GA, Grovetown, GA, or Savannah, GA offices. As a CMT Technician, you will perform field inspections and observations for commercial, industrial, transportation, and nuclear-related construction projects.

**Your Impact**

- Conduct soil density testing according to ASTM and project specifications at commercial construction sites.

- Perform foundation bearing testing using a dynamic cone penetrometer (DCP).

- Sample and test concrete following ASTM and project specifications.

- Interpret project plans and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements.

- Prepare and submit written field reports summarising daily activities, observations, density calculations, and results.

- Work safely in accordance with Company safety policies.

- Monitor work procedures for compliance with project specifications.

- Interact with client representatives, including supervisors, foremen, project managers, and engineers at project sites.

- Analyse testing data for accuracy, applicability, and reasonableness.

**Who You Are** **Required Qualifications**

- High School Diploma or equivalent.

- 0+ years of related experience.

- ACI Field Level I certification (concrete sampling and field testing).

- ICC soils or ICC reinforced concrete certification or equivalent is advantageous.

- Valid Driver's License with a good driving history.

- Reliable with the ability to arrive at project sites before scheduled times.

- Skilled in preparing reports and documentation.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Flexible to work outside normal business hours as required.

- Pass a physical and background check with a satisfactory driving record according to the Company's driving policy.

**Preferred Qualifications**

- Physical examination required for medical clearance to work.

- Ability to stoop, kneel, and routinely lift and carry 50 pounds.

- Clean driving record and insurable for driving company vehicles.

- Capable of working in variable outside conditions, including extreme heat or cold.
