## Description

Ajax Systems is seeking a QA Team Lead to oversee the QA team and processes, while deeply technically engaging with the product. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience as a QA Team/Tech Lead or Senior QA Engineer, with a strong QA foundation and practical experience testing complex products.

**Responsibilities:**

- Organize and lead the QA team, plan tasks, prioritize, and control their execution

- Mentor QA engineers, assess team performance, and create development plans

- Collaborate with developers, PMs, and adjacent teams

- Optimize QA processes for high release rates

- Implement quality metrics and use them for decision-making

- Improve testing quality and help the team find systemic issues in processes and products

- Work with the product combining hardware, firmware, backend/cloud, and client applications

- Investigate and localize complex problems using Linux CLI and diagnostic utilities

- Conduct technical analysis, root cause analysis, and interact with developers to resolve issues

- Research real-life product usage cases and user feedback to improve quality

- Collaborate with SDET engineers to develop automated test coverage

- Utilize scripts and automation tools for testing, diagnostics, and problem research

**Requirements:**

- 2+ years of experience as QA Team/Tech Lead or Senior QA Engineer

- Strong QA foundation and practical experience testing complex products

- Deep technical understanding of complex system principles and ability to independently investigate components

- Practical experience analyzing logs, component interactions, and finding root causes of technical issues

- Ability to quickly understand new products and their architecture

- Leadership skills, deadline management, and decision-making abilities

- Strong communication skills and willingness to discuss problems openly

**Nice to Have:**

- Experience with embedded/firmware/hardware products

- Experience with complex systems and integrations

- Basic understanding of network technologies and video streaming

- Automation skills or scripting experience in Python/Bash

- Experience testing video products
