## Description

We're seeking an experienced Model Shop Inspector to join our team. As a Model Shop Inspector, you will be responsible for inspecting metal and ADM components for our wind tunnel models using metrology and 3D scanning.

Your work will ensure parts and assemblies meet our engineering standards, and you'll provide clear, accurate reports to support the build and development of our scale models.

**Responsibilities**

- Inspect and scan metal and ADM components for wind tunnel models

- Measure and check parts against specification using metrology and 3D scanning tools

- Identify, document, and report faults and non-conformances

- Apply and help develop quality control processes for models and sub-assemblies

- Carry out scanning and dimensional inspections of components, assemblies, and complete models

- Provide inspection and quality control support to the Model Shop and Additive Manufacturing teams

- Collaborate with Model Shop, Design, and Aero teams to refine scale models, processes, and tools

- Suggest, investigate, and implement new methods, techniques, and systems to improve quality and efficiency

**Requirements**

- Background in automotive or engineering, ideally F1

- Strong numerical skills and confidence interpreting engineering specifications

- Proven experience programming CMMs with PC-DMIS

- Experience using inspection arms and software such as PolyWorks

- Solid understanding of GD&T

- Comfortable using traditional physical inspection tools

- Excellent knowledge of Leica (or similar) hardware and software

- Familiarity with measurement arms and scanning/inspection software

- Able to interrogate CAD assemblies and read complex engineering drawings

- Confident using IT in a Windows environment

- Clear, confident communicator with a practical, can-do attitude
