## Job Overview

You will join Carta, a leading provider of software and services for venture capital, private equity, and private credit. As a Senior Fund Accountant, you will play a critical role in supporting private capitalists in the administration of their funds.

## Responsibilities

- Perform fund administration and accounting tasks, including handling investor transactions, preparing capital calls, producing NAVs, and preparing annual financial statements

- Enhance fund accounting processes by working with Product and Engineering teams to implement improvements and automate fund administration

- Tackle complex challenges at the intersection of law, accounting, finance, regulation, and tax

- Proactively share knowledge with team members to automate fund structures and improve processes and products

- Demonstrate a can-do attitude and eagerness to learn in a start-up environment

## Requirements

- Prior work experience in preparing fund accounts and financial statements in accordance with IFRS, US GAAP, Lux GAAP, etc.

- 4+ years of Accounting or Finance experience within the Funds industry preferred

- Strong understanding of complex fund accounting mechanisms, specifically closed-end Funds

- Ability to provide audit support

- Numerical Bachelor's degree, preferably within Accountancy/Finance

- In-depth knowledge and interest in the Private Equity, Venture Capital, and Start-up ecosystem

- Part-qualified ACA/ACCA accountant (not essential)
