As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in delivering compassionate care to patients every day. You will work in an environment where the highest professional and ethical standards are maintained, ensuring all medication needs and regulatory compliance standards are met for patients. Your duties will include managing assigned pharmacy workstations and tasks to support the team's ability to promptly, safely and accurately fill patient prescriptions while providing caring service that exceeds customer expectations.

To qualify, you must be at least 16 years of age and meet licensure requirements that vary by state. Other essential skills and qualifications include:

- Attention and Focus: The ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time without being distracted

- Customer Service Orientation: Actively looking for ways to help people in a friendly manner, noticing and understanding customers' reactions, and responding appropriately

- Communication Skills: Using and understanding verbal and written communication to interact with customers and colleagues, actively listening and not interrupting at inappropriate times

- Mathematical Reasoning: The ability to use math to solve problems, such as calculating day's supply of a prescription

- Problem Resolution: Judging when something is wrong or likely to go wrong, recognizing there is a problem, and choosing the best course of action

Physical demands of the job include remaining upright on feet for sustained periods, moving about on foot, picking, pinching, typing, extending hands and arms, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 30 lbs.

Preferred qualifications include previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting, previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician, and PTCB National Certification.

A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.
