## Description

We are seeking a Director of Technical Program Management (TPM) to lead programs that deliver on critical business goals and build large-scale products and platforms for Capital One customers. As a TPM, you will drive major technical transformations and scale platform capabilities across the organisation.

**About the Team:** Digital Commerce & Innovation (DCI) is a portfolio of technology platforms and solutions that support enterprise and premium lines of business. DCI domains include Spend Innovation, Loyalty, Travel Tech, and Card Premium Experiences.

**Responsibilities:**

- Contribute to the organisation's TPM / Delivery strategy: establish operating mechanisms, maturity models, and tooling that scale across portfolios

- Drive development of and alignment on program roadmap anchored in business objectives, definition of done, technical solutions, and sequencing of dependencies

- Lead cross-platform technical investment planning and ensure architectural alignment toward long-term platform convergence and reuse

- Serve as an executive-level escalation point for program risks, influencing technology leaders to make data-driven tradeoffs between speed, cost, and resiliency

- Ensure definition of measurable outcomes of platform success (availability, scalability, cost efficiency, developer velocity) and ensure delivery accountability across multiple engineering teams

**Requirements:**

- Bachelor's degree in a technical field

- At least 7 years of experience managing technical programs

**Preferred Qualifications:**

- 7+ years of experience designing and building solutions using distributed computing or service-oriented architecture (SOA)

- 3+ years of experience in building distributed systems and highly available services using cloud computing services / architecture - preferably using AWS

- 3+ years of experience building highly scalable products and platforms

- 3+ years of experience with Agile delivery

- 3+ years of experience delivering large and complex programs

- Experience in building systems and solutions within a highly regulated environment

- MBA or Master's Degree in a related technical field (Computer Science, Software Engineering)

- PMP, Lean, Agile, or Six Sigma certification

- 3+ years of people management experience or influencing organisation as an IC

- Experience driving platform standardisation across multiple product portfolios or lines of business

- Track record of building TPM maturity (operating models, career frameworks, metrics) at scale within engineering organisations

- Exceptional communication and influence skills, capable of engaging deeply with technical teams while translating implications into compelling business narratives that persuade senior leadership
