## Description

In this position, you will join a team of automotive, software, and electrical talent to create great electric vehicles and digital experiences for new generations of customers. We are looking for a CAE Model Development and Automation engineer to work with our Advanced Vehicle Safety/NVH/Durability teams to develop full vehicle/system finite element models for next-generation Vehicle Platform Architectures for electric vehicles.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Working with Advanced Vehicle Safety/NVH/Durability teams to develop full vehicle/system finite element models for next-generation Vehicle Platform Architectures for electric vehicles.

- Performing structural safety analysis using LS-Dyna, Hyperworks to assess vehicle crashworthiness for regulatory and third-party targets as required by USNCAP, FMVSS, Euro NCAP, ECE, and IIHS.

- Hands-on capability creating full vehicle Nastran and Abaqus models.

- Correlating CAE performance with test results; and documenting best practices and lessons learned for future development.

- Responsible for safety finite element analysis of crash modes, ensuring innovative and optimized solutions.

- Supporting quick concept development utilizing morphing tools to deliver new and emerging ideas.

- Supporting the creation of standard work procedures for delivering quality models and simulation results.

- Working in a cross-functional environment to identify and overcome technical challenges and meet requirements.

- Being a part of the vision of engineering excellence and a source of knowledge.

- Participating in design reviews and presenting CAE model build status.

- Making recommendations to improve the model build/integration workflow.

You will have a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and at least 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience. Experience must include knowledge of non-linear analytical tools/software for root-causing and solving various automotive crash safety development related projects/assignments.
