## Description

Make a difference in the lives of military Service Members and their families with your expertise in counselling and mental health. As a Military and Family Life Counselor (MFLC) with Leidos, you will provide flexible, short-term, or as-needed coverage at Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM) in Washington.

The MFLC programme offers a unique opportunity for licensed mental healthcare providers to focus on prevention and solution-focused approaches to mental health issues affecting military personnel and their families. You will work in various settings, including military installations, schools, and community service buildings, providing support on issues such as relationships, stress management, parenting, and coping with deployment.

**Responsibilities:**

- Provide face-to-face counselling to military Service Members and their families

- Recommend referrals and handoffs to military and community resources

- Offer presentations on social skills development and social-emotional learning

- Build rapport with Service Members, spouses, and children by attending installation and community events

- Help families and children with challenges particular to the military community

**Requirements:**

- Master's degree or higher in Behavioural Health Professions (MS/MSW/MA/PhD)

- Licensure to practise at the independent practice level (LCSW, MFT, LPCC, Psychologist) in a US state or territory

- US citizenship

- Ability to pass a basic background check and National/Child National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI/CNACI) clearance

**Pay Range:** $28/hr. - $50/hr.
