## Description

The City of London Corporation is seeking a talented Planning Officer (Design) to join the Design Team within the City's Planning service. You will work at the cutting edge of conservation and design, contributing to the delivery of growth in the Square Mile.

As a member of the Design Team, you will provide urban design and conservation advice on planning and listed building consent applications. You will work collaboratively with colleagues across various departments, including Development Management, Transport, and Sustainability.

Key responsibilities include:

- Providing urban design and conservation advice on planning and listed building consent applications

- Negotiating and managing applications from pre-application to delivery on site

- Contributing to the development of policy and planning guidance

- Working collaboratively with colleagues across various departments

Requirements:

- Degree or equivalent in planning, urban design, building conservation, architecture, or a related field

- Digital literacy and commitment to excellent customer service

- Flexible approach to work and ability to manage high workloads and deadlines

- Eligibility for membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute, the Institute of Historic Building Conservation, or another relevant professional body

Benefits:

- Salary: £50,860 - £56,920 per year

- Contractual hours: 35 hours per week

- Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 9:15am - 5:00pm
