## Description

At Microsoft AI, our health team aims to help millions of users better understand and manage their health and wellbeing. We're seeking software engineers to join our team in New York, working on AI health companion projects.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who cares deeply about user experience and takes pride in solving real customer needs. You'll collaborate in a fast-paced environment to bring innovative technology to life, focusing on safety, reliability, and scale.

Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with AI researchers, product managers, and designers to develop an AI health companion.

- Own the end-to-end development of features, from ideation to deployment and iteration.

- Design, build, and optimize production-grade code, delivering robust features within a larger existing architecture.

- Work independently across a wide range of the stack, shipping delightful user experiences.

- Ensure resilience, maintainability, and security above all else.

- Build hiring pipelines, onboarding frameworks, or software development best practices as needed to scale an engineering team.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.

- Preferred qualifications include a Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years of technical engineering experience, or equivalent experience.

Salary ranges from $142,800 to $331,200 per year, depending on location and experience level.
