## Description

We are seeking a talented Quality Engineer to join a diverse team in Huntsville, Alabama, to create unique solutions for complex problems. As a Quality Engineer, you will support mechanical and electrical manufacturing and assembly integration and testing for aerospace and defence manufacturing.

Responsibilities:

- Perform program quality planning, analyse program QA requirements, develop inspection/test procedures and process plans

- Finalize source inspection checklists, coordinate review of nonconformance documentation, and support root cause/corrective action

- Review AS9102 FAI documentation, work with DCMA and other government quality assurance agencies

- Collect and report Quality Metrics, review and approve new drawings, support project managers during design, manufacturing readiness reviews, PDR, CDR, APQP, PPAP, DFMEA, PFMEA

- Conduct supplier surveillance audits

Requirements:

- High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in an ISO9001/AS9100 system or equivalent experience in DOD, Aerospace, or Automotive manufacturing quality control

- Proficiency in GD&T per ASMEY14.5-2009

- Experience working with non-conforming material, performing failure analysis, identifying root cause, and implementing corrective action

- Experience writing work instructions, procedures, and implementing QMS documentation associated with AS9100

- Ability to review and interpret contract quality clauses and technical data and develop and document appropriate quality verification procedures, plans, and work instructions

- Experience using Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook)

- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs

- Demonstrated experience effectively communicating within a team environment

- Capable of performing in a collaborative engineering environment working closely with multi-disciplinary teams

- Resident of North Alabama or willing to relocate to the area

Preferred Qualifications:

- Knowledge of Mechanical Engineering

- Working knowledge of CNC Machining & Inspection

- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer

- Six Sigma Green or Black Belt

- Experience in developing PFMEA and RCCA
