## Description

At Keywords Studios, we're seeking a Chief Accountant to join our finance team in Katowice, Poland. As a Chief Accountant, you will be responsible for leading our accounting team, overseeing financial reporting, tax returns, and ensuring compliance with Polish and international standards.

Responsibilities:

- Ensure financial reporting is fully compliant with Polish standards (PSR) and IFRS if applicable

- Lead the accounting team, guiding and supporting accountants and other finance staff

- Oversee tax returns, including VAT, CIT, and others

- Own the closing processes, including annual reports and coordinating monthly/year-end closures

- Represent the company during audits and tax inspections

- Support budgeting and forecasting, providing management with insights

- Implement and refine internal controls, ensuring processes are solid and efficient

- Monitor updates in tax, accounting, and labor regulations, adapting processes as needed

- Oversee the General Ledger, reviewing entries and accounting reconciliations

- Manage receivables and payables, ensuring compliance with transfer pricing and mandatory disclosure rules

Requirements:

- Solid experience in accounting, including year-end closings, audits, and financial statements

- Strong leadership skills, with experience guiding and supporting teams

- Excellent knowledge of Polish Accounting Standards (PSR) and familiarity with IFRS

- Confidence in taxes and compliance, including VAT, CIT, transfer pricing, and MDR

- Process-oriented mindset, with ability to improve procedures

- Analytical thinking, with ability to draw insights from numbers

- Excellent communication skills, with ability to explain complex financial matters to non-financial colleagues

- Collaborative spirit, with ability to work cross-functionally

- Sense of humor and balance, taking work seriously but not yourself
