## Description

As a Senior Land Consultant at WSP, you will support teams in delivering land referencing, land access, landowner and stakeholder engagement, and statutory processes.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Identifying landowners, occupiers, and other parties with interests in land through research and interpretation of land registry information

- Liaising with landowners, land agents, legal representatives, planning authorities, stakeholders, contractors, and clients

- Working with multi-disciplinary teams to secure access to land for surveys

- Managing land referencing and land access projects

- Leading audits and quality assurance reviews of land referencing documentation and processes

- Providing senior-level advice to clients and project boards on land acquisition risks and opportunities

- Overseeing compliance with statutory processes and ensuring projects meet regulatory and legal obligations

- Resolving disputes and escalating sensitive issues with diplomacy and authority

- Contributing to commercial strategy and risk management for land-related contracts

- Establishing training programmes and succession planning within the Land team

- Managing and leading a team, providing support and technical training

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:

- A degree or equivalent experience in Geography, Land/Estate Management, Agriculture, or a relevant discipline

- Experience delivering land referencing, land access, landowner engagement services, and statutory processes on major infrastructure projects

- Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams across various sectors and locations in Ireland and/or the UK

- Demonstrable experience of reducing land risk for clients and advising them on land-related matters throughout all stages of a project lifecycle

- Experience of infrastructure development schemes, particularly in the energy, highways, rail, water, and/or aviation sectors

- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with colleagues, landowners, and clients at all levels

- Ability to communicate effectively with strong influencing and negotiating skills
