## Description

We are seeking a Senior Secondary Designer to join our team in the National Capital Region (NCR), Philippines.

The Senior Electrical Designer position is required to work in all facets of design drafting, with a focus on protection, control and SCADA, delivering high-quality work on time to the Power & Energy team.

The position requires someone who can work independently as well as in a team environment, providing support and mentorship to junior team members.

### Responsibilities

- Analyze client requirements for design criteria to ensure all specifications are included in the design requirements.

- Review design requirements considering the impact on the plan/design of all development and implementation factors, including constraints and risks.

- Coach colleagues to use appropriate design tools and techniques and identified design standards.

- Create designs for non-standard, complex projects.

- Implement quality control processes to ensure designs meet project requirements and documentation is up-to-date.

- Seek a range of information sources to develop and strengthen present design.

- Negotiate and implement recommendations for improving processes and/or technologies.

- Develop, implement, and coach colleagues in new design practices.

- Keep abreast of technical innovations in the industry.

- Deliver projects under strict timescales with uncompromised quality.

- Deliver drafted designs to meet WSP and Client requirements using software platforms such as AutoCAD, Microstation, and Revit.

- Comply with all role-specific SHEQ obligations.

- Lead and foster a good safety culture to ensure the safety and well-being of all staff within the team.

- Foster an engaged and high-performing workforce, with a focus on mentoring, training, and development.

- Work collaboratively with colleagues from all parts of the WSP business.

- Ensure compliance with all corporate governance, business system, quality, and risk management obligations.

### Qualifications

- Typically, 8-11 years of experience.

- Diploma of Engineering or Advanced Diploma of Engineering.

- Periodic attendance at specific technical training courses, conferences, and workshops.

### Key Competencies and Skills

- Developing technical skills across a broad range of areas within the discipline.

- High level of design/drafting & detailing skills.

- High level of knowledge in Secondary Electrical Design.

- High level of use and understanding of 2D software and its applications.

- Prepares engineering drawing deliverables from sketches without assistance.

- Experienced in implementing protection, control, and SCADA designs.

- Experience in writing scripts to automate repetitive drafting tasks is favorable.

- Contributed to building the technical capability of junior staff, acting as a mentor.
