## Description

We are seeking two dedicated, energetic, and caring Teaching Assistants to join our fantastic team at Silverways School, an independent special school supporting children and young people with autism and associated learning needs.

**Job Responsibilities:**

- Identify strategies to help overcome individual pupils' barriers to learning

- Be prepared to use humour and restorative practice to ensure a child-centred approach

- Support the transition of new pupils arriving or existing pupils returning to school, putting the necessary support in place to overcome any barriers to learning

- Provide in-class support as necessary to meet the needs of the school

- Liaise with other staff to monitor pupils' behaviour and wellbeing

- Build positive relations with parents/carers to encourage family involvement in their child's progress

- Communicate with parents/carers about specific support in place for their child
