## Description

WSP is seeking a Transportation Management Center Operations Manager to oversee daily operations of the Hudson Valley Transportation Management Center (HVTMC).

The Operations Manager will be responsible for managing operations staff, ensuring effective 24/7/365 TMC operations, and working closely with the NYSDOT TMC Director and regional transportation agencies.

Key responsibilities include:

- Managing daily TMC operations and staff

- Supervising, scheduling, training, and evaluating TMC staff

- Ensuring adequate staffing and operational coverage

- Maintaining quality assurance of TMC operations and staff performance

- Monitoring operational performance and identifying areas for improvement

- Developing and updating operational procedures and protocols

- Coordinating with NYSDOT, regional transportation agencies, and public safety agencies

- Supporting contract administration, operational reporting, and training activities

- Responding to significant operational or staffing issues

The ideal candidate will have:

- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 3+ years of experience, or 5+ years of relevant experience

- 5+ years of management experience on projects with an annual value of at least $500,000

- Experience in TMC, traffic, transportation, dispatch, military, public safety, or 911 operations

- Experience supervising and training a minimum of 15 employees

- Strong written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal skills

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

- Ability to respond to operational issues in a 24/7/365 environment

- Valid driver's license

Preferred qualifications include TMC/Traffic Operations Center management experience, experience managing 24/7/365 operations, and strong leadership and client relationship skills.
