## Description

Backend Team Lead at Hewlett Packard Enterprise in Galway, Ireland. We are seeking a strong, hands-on Backend Team Lead with a passion for technical excellence and leadership.

As a Backend Team Lead, you will serve as the technical owner of one or more domains within the product, driving architecture, design, and code quality while mentoring engineers and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities include:

- Technical Leadership

+ Own the technical quality, design, and roadmap for your domain(s). 	+ Make AI adoption a core principle of the new team by championing the practical use of AI tools and practices in day-to-day engineering. 	+ Drive engineering best practices through design reviews, code reviews, and technical mentoring. 	+ Contribute to architectural discussions and cross-domain alignment. 	+ Tackle technical challenges,performance, fault-tolerance, and live production issues. 	+ Foster a culture of learning, innovation, and technical excellence.

- Delivery & Project Management

+ Plan and deliver features, ensuring resources are appropriately allocated and that goals and timelines are met. 	+ Collaborate with Product Leads on prioritization, backlog, and feasibility decisions. 	+ Proactively identify process improvement and cost-reduction opportunities.

- People Management

+ Provide direct and ongoing leadership for a team of individual contributors. 	+ Participate in recruiting and hiring for the new team. 	+ Own people management for your team,including onboarding, performance goal setting, coaching, and career development.

- Site Leadership

+ Serve as the on-site leader for all Zerto employees at the new site. 	+ Represent the company locally, foster a positive and inclusive site culture.

Requirements:

- At least 10 years of C# experience in complex, multi-threaded, performance-critical programming.

- Strong knowledge of Linux and virtualization technologies.

- AI adopter with proven hands-on experience applying generative AI tools.

- Deep expertise in software systems design, development methodologies.
