## Description

We are seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to join the Platform Infrastructure team at Auth0, a part of Okta. As a Senior Platform Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, building, and maintaining the infrastructure that enables Auth0 engineers to deploy and manage services on AWS and Azure.

You will develop and maintain a scalable platform runtime using infrastructure-as-code, allowing teams to seamlessly deploy and manage services across Kubernetes, AWS, and Azure. You will tackle highly ambiguous requirements to architect scalable, resilient infrastructure solutions for cross-cutting concerns. Additionally, you will proactively identify performance bottlenecks and advocate for new technologies to optimise platform resiliency, scale, and cost.

Key responsibilities include:

- Developing and maintaining a scalable platform runtime using infrastructure-as-code

- Architecting scalable, resilient infrastructure solutions for cross-cutting concerns

- Proactively identifying performance bottlenecks and advocating for new technologies

- Using observability tools like DataDog and Prometheus to design SLIs and enforce platform SLOs

- Designing secure-by-default infrastructure and collaborating with security teams to ensure compliance

- Driving and leading complex, cross-functional initiatives end-to-end

- Acting as a technical leader within the team, mentoring and elevating the skills of junior and mid-level engineers

The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of software development experience, deep technical expertise in Golang, Terraform, Kubernetes, and major cloud providers (AWS/Azure), and demonstrable experience architecting distributed systems.

In terms of compensation, the annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in Canada is between $136,000-$187,000 CAD.
