## Description

We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our growing team in either Melbourne, Victoria or Canberra. This is an on-site role supporting work within a secure environment.

You will contribute across the software development lifecycle, applying sound engineering principles to design, develop, test, integrate and deploy quality software solutions. You will work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to solve complex problems and deliver outcomes aligned with customer goals.

**Responsibilities:**

- Design innovative software solutions to complex problems

- Participate in and lead agile story development and estimation

- Contribute to Continuous Integration and automation

- Integrate and deploy complex systems using SecDevOps practices

- Undertake web-focused User Interface development and User Experience evolution

- Research, prototype, investigate and develop technologies and systems

- Apply solid software engineering principles, coding standards and secure development practices

- Develop and maintain unit and integration tests and contribute to test automation

- Investigate defects, undertake root-cause analysis and implement effective fixes

- Produce and maintain clear technical documentation

- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and customer stakeholders to deliver shared objectives

**Requirements:**

- Understanding of Agile software delivery

- Ability to apply solid engineering principles to software development

- Focus on quality software development

- Good understanding of testing principles and commitment to achieving bug-free software

- Ability to work collaboratively within a team on shared objectives

- Commitment to customer goals

- Adaptability to switch between tasks as directed

- Clear written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to analyse problems and develop practical software solutions
