## Description

Notion is the collaborative AI workspace where teams and agents think together. We're building one place where your knowledge, projects, meetings, and AI tools live side by side, so work is faster, clearer, and less fragmented.

As a People Operations Generalist, you'll provide thoughtful operational support across People programs and processes, owning the critical touchpoints that make our team members feel supported throughout their journey. You'll ensure every process runs smoothly, from the moment someone accepts their offer through their growth and transitions at Notion.

Responsibilities:

- Process assigned HRIS and employee-lifecycle transactions; maintain clean People data in our HRIS through audits, validation checks, and partner handoffs that prevent downstream reporting issues.

- Act as the Tier 1 Support for employees. Triage and resolve questions or requests submitted to our ticketing system.

- Coordinate routine benefits transactions and employee updates; support compliance workflows, respond to employee questions and requests; partner with benefits providers, HRIS, and Payroll to resolve eligibility or data discrepancies.

- Initiate and track immigration and relocation cases, milestones, and provide stakeholder follow-ups.

- Resolve routine cases using documented guidance and route exceptions, policy decisions, or sensitive matters to the appropriate specialist or approver.

- Be a reliable partner to cross-functional teams, including Global Mobility, Recruiting, Legal, Finance, People Partners, and IT on all things People Operations.

- Manage compliance - SOC2, maintain employee files, support regular audits, etc.

- Support ad-hoc projects that improve our processes and operations.

Requirements:

- 2+ years in People Operations, benefits administration, global mobility coordination, or a related service-operations role.

- Workday proficiency required, with hands-on experience managing employee data, processing employee lifecycle changes, and generating reports to support team.

- Experience managing and resolving employee inquiries through a case-tracking system or ticketing queue using platforms such as Zendesk, ServiceNow, or other systems.

- Experience creating or improving SOPs through documentation and operational reports.

- Confidence managing repeatable workflows independently, prioritizing competing requests, following through on details, and learning new workstreams as priorities change.

- Strong service orientation and clear, empathetic written communication, with strong triage and prioritization skills.

- Comfort working with data: maintaining data accuracy, building simple metrics, and communicating findings clearly.

- Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive employee data with discretion.

- Ability to coordinate across employees, vendors, counsel, and internal partners.

- A process-improvement mindset: you notice patterns and look for ways to make support more accurate and easier to navigate.

We offer highly competitive cash compensation, equity, and benefits. The estimated base salary range for this role is $111,000 - $124,000 per year.
