## Description

We're seeking a Staff Android Engineer to join our Android Platform team. As a technical leader, you will focus on three pillars: Client Health, Developer Experience, and App Architecture. Your responsibilities will include owning and shaping the architecture of Reddit's Android App, improving Android developer experience, defining and operationalizing guardrails, building and evolving Android client health and observability foundations, and mentoring and supporting Android engineers.

Key requirements include 8+ years of software development experience, at least 4+ years in designing/developing Android applications, experience working in a large codebase serving 100+ engineers and millions of DAUs, mastery of modern Android development, strong background in Android platform/infrastructure, practical experience applying AI to engineering workflows, and proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence technical direction across multiple teams.
