## Description

Working as a Product Engineer at Target means being part of a team that creates products embodying the intent of Target-owned brands. You'll partner with quality and compliance teams to understand performance testing protocols and develop products meeting them. Your work involves identifying technical specifications and quality standards, suggesting improvements to cost of goods, assembly, sustainability, and ROI, and collaborating with vendors to ensure the brand vision is executed.

Key responsibilities include:

- Developing and executing the technical development process for products

- Interpreting designers' concepts and guiding products through their development lifecycle

- Providing technical product guidance to design, sourcing, and merchant teams

- Understanding business initiatives, product functional requirements, and performance expectations

- Supporting and providing effective product technical specifications and quality standards

Requirements:

- Four-year degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Product Development, or related field, or equivalent experience

- 4+ years of relevant experience

- Experience developing Home Fragrance products

- Knowledge of testing, safety, and legal requirements for consumer products

- Knowledge of applicable raw materials and their performance and usage

- Strong knowledge of various 2-D and/or 3-D CAD software packages

- Exhibits a working knowledge of product manufacturing

- Ability to build strong relationships to work effectively in a team environment
