## Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Band 7 clinical psychologist or practitioner psychologist to join our thriving Paediatric Psychological Therapies Service at St George's Hospital. This is a part-time fixed-term role for 20 months.

The Paediatric Psychological Therapies Team is a large, friendly, and expanding service providing psychological support to both inpatients and outpatients across a range of specialties. As a Paediatric Practitioner Psychologist, you will provide specialist assessment, formulation, and evidence-based interventions for children and families with various physical health presentations.

Key responsibilities include:

- Providing psychological support to outpatients with issues such as procedural anxiety, adjustment to diagnosis, and emotional wellbeing

- Conducting risk assessments and implementing management plans for children with psychological or emotional difficulties

- Contributing to accessible, tiered care by developing and delivering group interventions

- Working as part of a multidisciplinary team to integrate psychological perspectives into medical pathways

- Supervising non-qualified staff and supporting service evaluation and quality improvement projects

The successful candidate will have doctoral-level training in clinical psychology, current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Practitioner Psychologist, and experience of specialist psychological assessment, formulation, and intervention with children, young people, and families.

In return, we offer a salary of £58,133 to £65,261 per annum pro rata, inclusive of HCAS (inner London), and a range of benefits.
