**Role Overview** The Senior Russian Legal Linguist ensures high-quality Russian-language deliverables by managing translation and copy-editing tasks, coordinating with freelancers and agencies, and maintaining key language resources.

**Main Responsibilities**

- Perform copy-editing tasks on assigned projects or accounts

- Perform on-demand translation tasks

- Lead linguist role on assigned accounts

- Take ownership of deliveries translated internally or by external partners

- Prepare, manage, and maintain language materials

- Manage project-related queries

- Ensure good interaction among team members and resolve terminology and language matters

- Coordinate with freelancers, agencies, and internal linguists

- Test and qualify new freelancers and vendors

- Develop and train internal linguists and freelancers

- Interact with clients on linguistic matters

- Participate in developing new and improved working processes

- Propose process improvements

- Meet or exceed key performance metrics

**Requirements**

- University degree in Translation, Applied Languages, Linguistics, or a related field

- Native-level proficiency in Russian

- Fluent in English, both written and spoken

- 8+ years of relevant experience in translation, localization, editing, or content writing

- 5+ years of experience in linguistic review and copy-editing

- Thorough understanding of the localization process

- Excellent knowledge of terminology used in legal materials

- Experience serving as a subject-matter expert

- Excellent user experience with standard CAT tools and issue-tracking tools

- Ability to learn new localization tools and applications quickly

- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
