## Description

WSP is seeking a High Voltage Transmission Inspector. This position may involve up to 100% travel, with work primarily conducted in the Houston, Texas area and surrounding states.

The successful candidate will provide inspection support to engineers and project managers to ensure construction compliance with plans, specifications, contract documents, and codified requirements. Key responsibilities include:

- Performing field inspections on construction projects of moderate scale, scope, and complexity

- Examining and evaluating the placement of concrete, installation of underground pipelines, earthwork, and electrical installations

- Generating accurate and concise documentation regarding assigned aspects of the project

- Ensuring that responsibilities are delivered and adhered to with a level of quality that meets or exceeds acceptable industry standards

The ideal candidate will have:

- A high school diploma or equivalent, with a bachelor's degree in a closely related discipline preferred

- At least 9 years of relevant post-education experience in a discipline with prior construction inspection experience

- Essential professional licensure/certification(s) and a valid state driver's license

- Well-defined knowledge of construction inspection principles, field inspection practices, and relevant construction codes and regulations

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to exercise sound judgement and communicate effectively

The role may require working up to 12-hour days, 5-6 days a week, and occasional travel for extended periods. Physical demands include lifting 50 lbs or more, walking on rough terrain, and wearing personal protective equipment for extended periods.
