## Description

We are seeking a Hybrid Powertrain Calibration Engineer to join our team at AVL Iberica in Valladolid, Spain. As a Hybrid Powertrain Calibration Engineer, you will contribute to the development and validation of hybrid powertrain systems. Several opportunities are available within our growing calibration team, covering different areas such as system validation, powertrain debug, calibration data management, engine and vehicle calibration, and calibration leadership.

**Responsibilities:** Depending on your experience and interests, you may be involved in:

- System Validation: Execute validation plans to verify the correct behavior of powertrain components under failure conditions.

- Powertrain Debug: Support production, end-of-line, dealerships, and calibration teams to ensure prototype and customer vehicles remain fully operational.

- Calibration Data Management: Assemble, validate, and industrialize calibrations related to powertrain components.

- Engine & Vehicle Calibration: Plan and perform tests in engine test benches and vehicles focused on base engine calibration, emissions, diagnostics, and driveability.

- Calibration Leadership: Work alongside junior and senior calibration engineers to coordinate activities and ensure successful calibration development.

**Current Project Environment:**

- Mainly gasoline hybrid platforms.

- Calibration of internal combustion engines and high-voltage components.

**Requirements:**

- Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a similar degree. A Master's degree in automotive-related subjects is desirable.

- Understanding of internal combustion engines and power electronics.

- Experience with ETAS INCA, AVL Concerto, AVL Creta, Vector CANalyzer, DDT2000, Matlab/Simulink, or similar tools.

- English and Spanish required; French is a plus.

- Driving License B required.

- Minimum 1 year of previous calibration experience. Experience in hybrid systems is preferred.
