## Description

We are seeking a Purchasing Coordinator to join our team in Newmarket, Ontario. As a Purchasing Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting the purchasing department.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Review requisitions and enter them into the SAP system to generate purchase orders.

- Contact vendors and evaluate bids offered by suppliers.

- Assist with various purchasing procedures to support the budget.

- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement cost-saving initiatives.

- Administer and manage purchasing databases and systems.

- Monitor and record vendor performance against agreed-upon standards.

- Issue purchase orders as required, subject to authorization.

- Provide advice to other departments on pricing, product delivery, and materials.

- Ensure compliance with company and government regulations.

- Follow departmental and general procedures.

- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Adhere to company safety rules and procedures.

- Work in compliance with environmental and ISO standards.

- Participate in Kaizen and GEAR activities.

**Basic Requirements:**

- College diploma in purchasing or materials management.

- Actively working towards a Purchasing designation (SCMP or equivalent).

- 1-2 years of experience in the manufacturing industry.

- Basic computer skills, including word processing and spreadsheets.

- Excellent people and communication skills.

- Strong problem-solving techniques and abilities.

The total cash compensation range for this position is $42,640.00 - $63,627.20.
