## Description

The Electrified Propulsion Engineering (EPE) organization at Ford Motor Company is seeking a strategic and technical leader for the role of PD Quality Supervisor for High Voltage Traction Batteries.

In this leadership position, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of Quality Engineers and Teardown Specialists dedicated to the reliability and performance of HV Battery assemblies, including arrays, Bussed Electrical Centers (BEC), and Battery Energy Control Modules (BECM).

You will drive the 2026 quality strategy by managing warranty reduction targets, accelerating issue resolution speed ("Patient Zero to Fix"), and fostering a culture of continuous improvement through AI integration and advanced problem-solving methodologies.

### Responsibilities

#### Team Leadership & People Development

- Collaborate with team members to define high-quality, aligned SMART objectives; manage performance reviews and provide constructive feedback on both "what" (deliverables) and "how" (behaviors).

- Create and execute individual training plans to close skill gaps, ensuring 100% completion of mandatory corporate and EPE-specific training.

- Adhere to and manage the organizational hybrid work policy, ensuring a consistent team presence (minimum 4 days per week on-site) to foster collaboration and support organizational goals.

#### Quality Metrics & Warranty Strategy

- Lead the team to achieve 2026 R/1000 and CPU targets (e.g., Global 1MIS R/1000 <0.25; NA <0.28).

- Manage the "Patient Zero to Fix Deployed" cycle, driving a 20% improvement in resolution speed through effective ICA/PCA implementation and End-to-End (E2E) system leverage.

- Oversee the systematic review and binning of claims and Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) to accelerate early detection of emerging field issues.

- Support the Critical Concern Review Group (CCRG) process, ensuring accurate technical data is provided for 90-day closure of emerging safety and compliance issues.

#### Technical Oversight & Cross-Functional Integration

- Lead high-complexity Quality A3/8D investigations and represent the department in corporate claim binning forums to ensure data integrity.

- Monitor model year changeovers and new program launches (e.g., LGES Holland, EV-A) to identify and escalate launch concerns before they impact customers.

- Proactively integrate AI tools (Ford LLM, GitHub Copilot, Alteryx) into standard engineering processes to automate data synthesis and failure mode diagnosis.

#### Supplier & Stakeholder Management

- Provide technical root cause data to support the recovery of supplier-responsible warranty costs.

- Synthesize complex quality data and Paynter charts into high-level status reports for senior leadership forums (DQR, VPQR, TDR, SAR).

### Qualifications

- B.S. in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related field).

- 5-7 years of experience in Product Development, Quality Engineering, or Manufacturing, with a focus on electrified powertrains.

- Demonstrated experience leading or supervising technical teams in a fast-paced environment.

- Expertise in 8D/A3 problem-solving methodologies and root cause analysis.

- Proficiency in corporate quality tools and databases (GSAR, JIRA, SIMPSN, Datacubes).

- Strong financial acumen related to warranty spend (CPU) and cost-reduction tracking (TVM/CRID).

- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present technical data to upper management.

- Ability to work on-site in Dearborn a minimum of 4 days per week.

### Benefits

- Immediate medical, dental, vision and prescription drug coverage

- Flexible family care days, paid parental leave, new parent ramp-up programs, subsidized back-up child care and more

- Family building benefits including adoption and surrogacy expense reimbursement, fertility treatments, and more

- Vehicle discount program for employees and family members and management leases
