## Description

The Boeing Company has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Software Engineer, Front End Developer to support the Space Mission Systems (SMS) Rapid Space Capabilities (RSC) portfolio, focused on the Rocky program.

The selected Software Engineer will help design and develop front end software, including working with UI/UX experts to design, develop, and test Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI) to meet the Rocky program software development schedule and milestones.

**Position Responsibilities:**

- Supports the design, development, and analyses of user interfaces of software systems

- Partners with appropriate stakeholders to oversee translation of software requirements and models that meet customer, operational and performance requirements

- Assists completion of software system-level analyses to identify risk, issues and opportunities

- Supports software engineers to successfully complete code reviews to ensure alignment to requirements and standards

- Assists in review of product and process for alignment with project plans and industry standards

- Researches and oversees implementation of current and emerging software technologies, tools, and frameworks

**Security Clearance:** This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required).

**Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):**

- Bachelor’s degree or higher

- 1+ years’ experience with Front End software languages, frameworks, and libraries (e.g. HTML5, JavaScript, REACT, and API integration, etc.)

- Experience in foundational Computer Science knowledge and object-oriented design and software patterns

**Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):**

- Experience developing Frontend user interfaces using Astro UX

- Experience with Software Engineering principles including, but not limited to, Software Configuration Management, Software Architecture and Design, and Software Life Cycle Management

- Experience with one or more of the following: Java, C++, Python, JS frameworks (REACT, jQuery UI, Open Layers, etc.), Spring Framework, Hibernate, RDBMS, MongoDB, REST, and OpenAPI

- Experience using dependency management and automation services (e.g. Ivy, Maven, Gradle, Git, Jenkins, etc.)

- Experience using cloud-based infrastructure (e.g. AWS, Azure, etc.)

- Familiarity with practices such as test-driven development (TDD), agile software development, DevSecOps, and CI/CD management
