## Description

We are seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team at Atrium Health Mercy in Charlotte, NC. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will develop and implement plans of care to meet patient needs, apply modalities, and educate patients in home exercise programs.

**Responsibilities:**

- Develop and implement plans of care to meet patient needs, including discharge planning and utilization of resources.

- Apply modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and therapeutic massage under the direction of a physical therapist.

- Educate patients in home exercise programs for various diagnoses.

- Supervise patient exercise programs on equipment.

- Assess and document patient medical needs and treatment.

- Clean treatment areas and stock supplies.

- Provide special exercise education classes.

- Assist with PT assistant student education and supervision.

- Provide coverage for the reception desk and order supplies.

**Requirements:**

- Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.

- Current licensure as a PTA in the applicable state.

- Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) certification.

**Schedule:**

- 36-hour position, Wednesday through Saturday, with 9-hour days.

- Flexibility to work up to 40 hours as needed.

**Pay Range:**

- $25.30 - $37.95 per hour
