As an Adjuster Trainee - Co-Op Student, you will play a supportive role within the sponsoring department, completing non-complex projects and networking with colleagues.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Complete assigned non-complex projects as directed by department management

- Shadow experts investigating and assembling facts from an insurance perspective

- Learn about insurance and engineering processes from business line leaders and experts

- Assist with projects, attend meetings, and participate in inspections

- Train on insurance coverages, principles, and analysis of loss experience

- Participate in formalised training on the insurance industry, systems, report writing, and presentation planning

**Additional Responsibilities:**

- Perform other duties as assigned

- Support the organisation's quality program(s)

**Requirements:**

- Currently enrolled or recently graduated in a diploma or degree program at an accredited college or university

- Business, insurance, accounting, or engineering programs preferred

- Ability to obtain applicable Adjuster Licensing

- Prior work-related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

**Skills and Knowledge:**

- Basic knowledge of insurance, claims, or business management

- Excellent oral and written communication, including presentation skills

- PC literacy, including Microsoft Office products and Excel, PowerPoint

- Analytical and interpretive skills

- Strong organisational skills

- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills

- Ability to work in a team environment

**Compensation:**

- Hourly rate: $18.00 CAD per hour
