## Description

As a Manager, Data Science at Capital One, you will lead the development of advanced machine learning solutions to optimize customer acquisition and deliver personalized experiences. You will partner with cross-functional teams to deploy predictive models and reinforcement learning across critical touchpoints in the marketing funnel.

Responsibilities:

- Partner with data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to deliver a product customers love

- Leverage technologies like Python, Conda, AWS, H2O, Spark to reveal insights in large volumes of data

- Build machine learning models through all phases of development, from design to implementation

- Translate complex work into tangible business goals

- Adhere to Capital One's hybrid policy regarding required on-site presence

The Ideal Candidate:

- Is customer-focused and passionate about doing the right thing

- Is a leader who challenges conventional thinking and works with stakeholders to improve the status quo

- Is technically skilled with open-source languages and cloud computing platforms

- Has experience with machine learning, clustering, classification, sentiment analysis, time series, and deep learning

- Is a data guru with skills to retrieve, combine, and analyze data from various sources

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science)

- 6, 4, or 1 years of experience performing data analytics respectively

- 1 year of experience with open-source programming languages, machine learning, and relational databases

Preferred Qualifications:

- PhD in STEM field with 3 years of experience in data analytics

- Experience with AWS, Python, Scala, R, machine learning, and SQL

Salary Information:

- Cambridge, MA: $197,300 - $225,100

- McLean, VA: $197,300 - $225,100

- New York, NY: $215,200 - $245,600
