## Description

SpaceXSI is seeking a Sr. Business Operations Manager to oversee consumer Starlink operations in Japan. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordination, cadence, capacity, and operational systems required to deliver Starlink satellite broadband to consumer customers.

Responsibilities:

- Own Japan consumer operating plans, timelines, and weekly execution, ensuring alignment with US and Japan stakeholders on operational delivery.

- Develop and manage the Japan consumer operating cadence, including forecasts, demand/supply, inventory, fulfillment, kit availability, order-to-activation, and performance reviews.

- Coordinate cross-functionally for Japan consumer operations, covering user terminals, software, warehousing, logistics, customs, and consumer onboarding/support handoffs.

- Identify and resolve operational blockers, implementing durable solutions to maintain operational plans.

- Collaborate with supply chain and operations to match Japan consumer demand with hardware supply, reduce costs, and optimize performance.

- Establish and enhance systems of record for Japan, including reporting, KPI integrity, and feedback loops.

- Develop and execute operational playbooks for Japan consumer fulfillment and service delivery.

- Analyze operational and customer-experience data to identify areas for improvement.

- Represent Japan consumer operational requirements to SpaceX sites and communicate global process constraints to the Japan operations team.

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, engineering, or a related STEM field.

- 8+ years of experience in business operations, program management, supply chain, telecommunications, broadband, or consumer products, including experience in or with Japan.

- Fluency in both spoken and written English and Japanese.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

- 4+ years of experience leading operators, program managers, or analysts.

- 12+ years of experience in operations or scaled consumer/hardware operations in Japan.

- Experience in retail and e-commerce operations, hardware supply chain management, and Japan logistics.

- Demonstrated success in turning operating plans into weekly execution and maintaining operational commitments.

- Expertise in data analytics, forecasting, and performance management.

- Leadership experience in fast-paced, startup-like cultures.

Additional Requirements:

- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time within Japan and across APAC as needed.

- Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
