## Description

We are seeking a Team Leader (Roads) to join our team in Carlisle, Cumbria. As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading day-to-day operational matters associated with your team, supporting the Regional Director in leadership of people, projects, clients, and business performance.

The role of a Team Leader is to embed a strong client and project culture around a technically excellent and efficient delivery model, balanced with the need to satisfy client, staff, and commercial expectations.

Key responsibilities include:

- Providing leadership and operational management to teams

- Supporting the Regional Director in leadership of people, projects, clients, and business performance

- Managing risk and opportunity through implementation of effective control and review measures

- Building and maintaining key client relationships

- Identifying opportunities, developing capture strategies and plans, and engaging other teams to create winning proposals

- Ensuring compliance with SHEQ management systems

- Supporting the integration of UK-wide best practice

We are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal skills, good leadership and management abilities, and the ability to communicate effectively with all parts of the business. Desirable skills include direct knowledge of technical project delivery activities, good stakeholder management, and excellent team management skills.
