## Description

We are seeking a Senior Supplier Sourcing Engineer for Intelligence Systems to drive the strategic supply network development and cost management of our product hardware across their lifecycles.

As the end-to-end owner of the supply chain for the Anduril Intelligence & Space business line, you will collaborate with suppliers and cross-functionally to ensure parts being designed can be sourced and procured at a reasonable target level. This includes conducting supplier selection for specific products, leveraging our approved supplier list as well as onboarding unique vendors to support the needs of the Space & Intelligence business team.

Key responsibilities include:

- Deep diving into engineering Bills of Material (BOM) to ensure parts can be sourced and procured at a reasonable target level

- Conducting supplier selection for specific products, leveraging our approved supplier list as well as onboarding unique vendors to support the needs of the Space & Intelligence business team

- Driving on-time delivery using unique solutions to break the mould of traditional Space industry lead-times and supply constraints

- Partnering with strategic suppliers to accelerate product development through activities such as concept scoping, feature trade-off/trade tables, should cost/clean sheet models, joint design development, simulation of mechanical & electronics designs

- Developing and consolidating a manufacturing Bill of Materials (BOM), working with Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing to ramp production internally and with our suppliers with high flexibility

- Managing total cost of the program, including NPI & mass production throughout NPI

- Conducting value-stream mapping to optimise supply network lead time and flexibility

- Completing the BOM risk assessment, including alternate component sourcing, etc.

- Ensuring completion of all component qualifications ahead of production

- Reducing complexity through commonality optimisation & component/supplier rationalisation

- Leading all cost engineering activities to converge the bottoms-up cost curve to product cost, maximising the total cost of ownership (TCO) across the product lifecycle

- Managing ad-hoc cost issues, such as tariffs/import export cost, and cost inflation

- Managing supply issues as they arise, ensuring on-time delivery at or below target cost

You will have a Bachelor's degree in engineering or other technical field, with 6+ years of experience in sourcing engineering, supplier engagement and development, or design of electronics and/or mechanical devices. Domain expertise in value/procurement engineering or TCO-related work at the component & product level is required, along with an active U.S. Secret or TS clearance and ability to maintain clearance. Ability to travel 10-40% of the time, variable based on programme needs, and relocation to Reston, VA is necessary.

Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree or advanced technical degree, deeper experience within design & development of electronics and/or mechanical devices, advanced sourcing activities, supplier development, early supplier engagement, familiarity with high-tech products in a high-mix, low-volume environment, exposure to working in a fast-paced, start-up environment, direct experience in the Space industry, and experience negotiating and managing commercial subcontracts.

This role comes with a highly competitive salary range of $146,000-$194,000 USD, based on experience, education, and critical skills. Equity grants are included in the majority of full-time offers, and top-tier benefits for full-time employees include healthcare benefits, income protection, generous time off, family planning & parenting support, mental health resources, professional development, commuter benefits, relocation assistance, and a retirement savings plan.
