## Description

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology.

As a Mission Software Engineer - Undersea Reconnaissance & Strike, you will work on debugging code, identifying and fixing issues in a real-world setting, and collaborating with the team to improve the overall performance of the system.

Responsibilities:

- Investigate field-reported anomalies and determine the root cause of the issue

- Reproduce the issue in a simulated environment and confirm the fix before deploying it to a real vehicle

- Write fixes in languages such as Rust, C++, Python, or Go, with tests, through CI, and out through the normal versioned rollout

- Analyze system logs and metrics to reconstruct the system state at the moment of failure

- Collaborate with the team to develop a runbook for on-call triage

Requirements:

- Experience debugging code under time pressure with incomplete information

- Proficiency in at least two of Rust, modern C++, Python, or Go

- Familiarity with observability tooling such as Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, or ELK

- Linux and systems fluency

- Ability to write clear and concise reports on issues and fixes

Nice to have:

- Experience with robotics middleware, sensor drivers, or real-time data pipelines

- Familiarity with simulation-in-the-loop or hardware-in-the-loop test setups

- Experience with CI/CD and versioned deployment for embedded or fleet software

This is a real entry point, not a holding pen. Do this well and you'll know more of the stack than most people who joined doing greenfield feature work , and that's exactly who ends up owning subsystems and driving roadmap next.

The salary range for this role is $166,000-$220,000 USD per year.
