## Description

Business Assessment (BA) is an exciting, highly collaborative, and dynamic team of professionals responsible for generating investment cases for pipeline and business development decisions.

The BA Senior Manager owns discrete commercial assessments and forecasts end-to-end, building models, framing assumptions, and defending them to inform investment decisions.

The Senior Manager will provide strategic input into trade-off decisions, ensure consistency in assessment and forecasting approaches, and present analysis and recommendations to executive governance bodies.

The role is anchored in Inflammation & Immunology (I&I) and Specialty Care, covering a broad set of disease areas.

**Role Responsibilities**

- Build and own assessments of pipeline and BD opportunities, collaborating with cross-functional partners

- Take and defend an independent position, recommending against an opportunity when analysis does not support it

- Gather input from key internal expert stakeholders on clinical development plans and commercial evaluations

- Integrate in-line and BD/pipeline forecasts, connecting BD/pipeline assessments to in-line assumptions

- Use AI tooling as a standard part of the workflow for evidence synthesis, competitive landscaping, and model QC

- Scope and commission qualitative and quantitative primary market research with physicians, key opinion leaders, and patients

- Develop analytically supported recommendations to facilitate investment trade-off decisions

- Determine the appropriate level of rigor and external insights/research required

- Work flexibly on multiple therapeutic areas in a matrixed team

- Support additional category and Pfizer portfolio-level projects

**Requirements**

- Bachelor's degree with at least 6 years of experience; OR a master's degree with at least 5 years of experience; OR a PhD with 1+ years of experience

- Advanced Excel proficiency and strong PowerPoint skills

- Demonstrated hands-on experience building quantitative commercial forecast and valuation models

- Experience using epidemiology literature, analyst reports, and primary research as the basis for a quantitative forecast

- Experience presenting analysis and recommendations directly to senior executive audiences

**Preferred Requirements**

- Prior experience in biopharma forecasting, life sciences consulting, or financial services

- Experience in business development processes

- Prior forecasting experience in I&I and/or Specialty Care disease areas

- Demonstrated use of AI/LLM tooling within an analytical workflow

- A track record of delivering an unfavorable or contrarian assessment

- Experience influencing without direct authority in a matrixed organization

- Working knowledge of healthcare and pharmaceutical industry trends

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $124,400.00 to $207,400.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 17.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share-based long-term incentive program.
