As a Staff Software Engineer, you will serve as the primary hands-on builder for the most complex platform and tooling problems the DevX team takes on. You will drive complex, high-impact projects end-to-end with minimal oversight, balance architectural ideals against delivery timelines and team maturity, and make pragmatic tradeoffs.

Key responsibilities include:

- Deep Technical Execution: Serve as the primary hands-on builder for complex platform and tooling problems.

- Architecture & Technical Influence: Shape and constructively challenge technical direction across the team.

- Cross-Team Technical Credibility & Hiring: Build direct technical trust and relationships with other engineering teams.

- Mentorship & Team Standards: Mentor and raise the technical bar for the team.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.

- Deep hands-on experience building internal developer tooling, CI/CD systems, or platform engineering at scale.

- Strong fluency across C#, .NET, Python, AWS, and Java.

- Experience shaping technical direction and influencing other engineers without formal management authority.

What will make you stand out:

- Prior experience as a Staff-level engineer on a Platform or Developer Experience team.

- Experience acting as a technical bridge between distributed, cross-country engineering teams.

- Experience in legal technology, professional-services SaaS, or other regulated enterprise software environments.
