## Description

Leidos is seeking a Senior Distribution Engineer in Maui, HI, to work on electric utility design engineering projects. The successful candidate will lead a talented team, work directly with utility clients, and ensure exceptional quality in every project.

Responsibilities:

- Independently develop design and construction work packages for moderately complex electrical overhead and underground distribution systems

- Work with project teams to achieve day-to-day objectives

- Review client-provided work and assess scope requirements

- Communicate and coordinate with external customers, contractors, and municipal agencies

- Perform engineering calculations, such as structural analysis and voltage drop calculations

- Conduct root cause analysis of outages and implement mitigation measures

- Comply with Leidos and client safety requirements and design and quality expectations

Requirements:

- 4+ years of relevant engineering experience, with a minimum of 2 years of direct distribution/customer-facing engineering experience

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial engineering

- Experience with NESC Standards, AutoCAD, MicroStation, Bluebeam, and Adobe

- Proficiency in MS Office and excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Ability to work in outdoor environments and construction sites

- Valid driver's license and willingness to use a personal vehicle for work-related travel
