## Description

The Accounting Advisor will assist with Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) and SOC 1 compliance for the Evernorth segment, focusing on business processes and internal controls.

Key responsibilities include:

- Collaborating with control owners to assess internal control design and address risks within the SOC 1 and SOX reporting scope

- Working with process owners on control documentation and supporting remediation activities for internal control deficiencies

- Liaising with internal and external auditors to ensure testing readiness and timely supply of requested documentation

- Identifying and addressing control gaps or operating deficiencies

- Supporting business partners with project initiatives to evaluate potential impacts on Evernorth's financial controls environment

- Building relationships with key business partners to ensure alignment on key processes and financial controls

The role requires:

- Bachelor's degree

- 3-5 years of experience in SOX, internal controls, audit, risk consulting, or financial compliance

- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Visio

- Strong understanding of technology and business process internal controls and risk assessment

- Excellent project management and organizational skills

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills

The anticipated annual salary range is $91,100 - $151,800, depending on experience and geographic location.
