## Job Purpose

The IT Manager – Supply Chain Operations & Planning is responsible for leading the strategy, delivery, support, and continuous improvement of technology capabilities supporting procurement, manufacturing, production planning, inventory optimization, supply chain planning, and network design.

This leader will serve as the primary IT relationship partner for senior Supply Chain stakeholders across Procurement, Manufacturing, Operations, and Planning. The role requires a collaborative and approachable leader who can build trusted relationships while also constructively challenging requests that are not aligned with business priorities, enterprise standards, or expected value.

## How You Make an Impact (Job Accountabilities)

- Serve as the primary IT partner for Supply Chain stakeholders and build strong relationships across Procurement, Manufacturing, Operations, and Planning.

- Understand business strategies, operational challenges, and priorities and translate them into technology roadmaps, programs, enhancements, and support priorities.

- Provide functional and strategic leadership across SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, OMP, and related Supply Chain applications.

- Provide leadership across SAP MM Purchasing, including outline agreements, purchasing information records, source lists, source determination, purchase requisitions, purchase orders.

- Provide leadership across SAP PP-PI (process industry), including MRP, master recipes, production versions, bill of materials, process orders, activity rates.

- Provide leadership for OMP or comparable advanced planning capabilities, including Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP), demand planning, inventory optimization, distribution requirements planning (DRP), deployment, supply planning, and detailed scheduling.

- Ensure solutions support end-to-end Supply Chain processes and appropriate integration with Quality, Warehousing, Logistics, Finance, and other enterprise functions.

- Promote standard, scalable, and supportable solutions while minimizing unnecessary customization.

- Lead the portfolio of projects, enhancements, and technical debt remediation within the Supply Chain Operations & Planning domain.

- Guide initiatives from business discovery and solution design through testing, deployment, stabilization, and transition to support.

- Balance strategic project delivery with production stability and day-to-day business needs.

- Lead direct reports and provide direction to consultants, managed-service providers, software vendors, and other technical resources.

## What You Bring to the Role (Job Qualifications / Education / Skills / Requirements / Capabilities)

- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Supply Chain, Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or a related field.

- Fifteen or more years of experience in SAP-enabled procurement, manufacturing, Supply Chain planning, or operations.

- Significant experience with SAP MM, PP-PI, and MRP.

- Strong understanding of purchasing processes, including outline agreements, purchasing information records, source lists, source determination, purchase requisitions, purchase orders.

- Strong understanding of process manufacturing, including MRP, master recipes, production versions, bill of materials, process orders, activity rates.

- Experience with OMP or a comparable advanced planning platform, including S&OP, demand planning, inventory optimization, DRP, deployment, supply planning, and detailed scheduling.

- Knowledge of supply chain network design principles and their impact on sourcing, manufacturing, distribution, inventory, capacity, cost, and customer service.

- Experience with SAP S/4HANA or a significant SAP transformation, implementation, or support organization.

- Strong understanding of end-to-end Supply Chain processes and their integration with Quality, Warehousing, Logistics, and Finance.

- Experience leading direct reports as well as consultants, vendors, and matrixed technical resources.

- Demonstrated ability to lead SAP functional consultants, developers, integration resources, and other technical specialists.

- Strong business relationship management, stakeholder engagement, facilitation, negotiation, prioritization, and executive communication skills.

- Ability to translate between business and technical audiences and explain complex topics in practical business terms.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities within a global or multi-site operating environment.

- Experience developing technology roadmaps, managing application portfolios, and aligning technology investments with business priorities.

- Relevant SAP, OMP, ASCM/APICS, BRM, PMP, or ITIL certification is a plus.

## Working Conditions / Physical Requirements / Travel Requirements

- This is a standard office and IT leadership role with no significant physical requirements beyond those associated with normal office work.

- The role may be based hybrid in Lexington, Kentucky, or remote, depending on business needs and candidate location.

- Regular interaction with business stakeholders, project teams, consultants, vendors, and employees across multiple locations and time zones is expected.

- Travel of approximately 10–20% is expected.

- Additional travel may be required during significant SAP S/4HANA implementation activities, including project workshops, testing, deployment, cutover, stabilization, and other key project meetings.

- Travel may include visits to manufacturing facilities, distribution centers, offices, and other company or partner locations.
