## Description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician to join our pharmacy team in New Albany, Ohio.

As a Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in preparing safe and effective medications for patients under the supervision of a pharmacist.

**Responsibilities:**

- Adhere to safety protocols and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) while performing daily tasks

- Compound sterile medications

- Prepare components, formulate solutions, fill and inspect units, and package filled units

- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cleanroom suite support responsibilities, including equipment calibration, cleaning, and sterilization

- Document compounding-related activities and daily tasks according to facility standard operating procedures (SOPs) and USP 797 guidelines

- Communicate with pharmacists and report any issues in the lab

- Utilize equipment as instructed by the pharmacist

- Complete training as required by USP 797

**Requirements:**

- Current registration as a Certified Pharmacy Technician in the State of Ohio and National Certification (CPhT)

- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently

- Full-time role, 40 hours per week

**Preferred Qualifications:**

- 1+ year of compounding experience (non-sterile or sterile)

- Certified Compounded Sterile Preparation Technician (CSPT)

**Working Conditions:**

- This position requires working with Hazardous Drugs (HD) and wearing PPE for extended periods

- Medical approval is required to wear respiratory protection

- Physical exertion is required, including walking, standing, squatting, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds
